Cookie & local data notice
Last updated: 14 September 2026.
We don't use advertising cookies
Money Meter never runs advertising trackers, and never sells or shares your data for advertising. We use Google Analytics to understand traffic to this site (e.g. how many people visit, which pages they view), plus a small number of cookies to make the product work.
Google Analytics is configured with Google Signals and ads personalization turned off, and data is retained for 2 months only. We never send your MM ID, phone number, age, city, state, or any ₹ figure to Google Analytics — it only ever sees anonymous, aggregate traffic data, never anything that identifies you or your finances.
What we store, and why
Before you sign in: a random, anonymous ID is stored in a cookie on your device so your in-progress calculator entry can be saved and restored if you come back. This ID is not linked to your phone number or any identity, and is used only for aggregate funnel analytics (e.g. how many people start the calculator vs. finish it) — never to identify you personally.
After you sign in: a standard authentication session cookie keeps you logged in, exactly like any account-based website.
We may also briefly use your browser's local storage for small, non-identifying UI state (e.g. remembering a dismissed hint).
Your choices
You can clear cookies and local storage for this site anytime in your browser settings. Doing so before signing in simply loses your in-progress, unsaved calculator entry — it doesn't affect any saved, locked entry tied to your account.
